Terms of service
What we provide
Onceling creates personalised storybooks: you choose a story, provide photos and details, and our AI generates a unique book with your characters. Books are available digitally and as printed copies, with optional extras such as audiobooks and colouring books.
Your account
You need an account to create books. Keep your sign-in access secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be an adult to use the service.
Your content
You must have the right to upload the photos you use — in particular, photos of children may only be uploaded by a parent or guardian or with their permission. Your photos remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to generate your book.
Purchases and delivery
Prices are shown in EUR, USD or GBP, as selected, and the price at checkout is what you pay. Digital books are available immediately after generation completes. Printed books are produced by our print partner and delivered to the address you provide.
Cancellations and refunds
Every book is personalised and produced for you, so an order cannot be cancelled once generation of the full book has started, and printed books cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or with a printing defect — in which case we will reprint or refund. Please review the preview carefully before purchasing.
AI-generated content
Stories and illustrations are generated by AI from your inputs. Results vary and small oddities can occur; the preview shows you what you will receive, and regeneration options let you retry pages you are not happy with. We do not guarantee a perfect likeness.
Intellectual property
Your finished book is yours to enjoy: you receive a licence for personal, non-commercial use, including printing copies for your family. Story templates remain the property of their creators, and the Onceling name, design and software remain ours.
Liability and changes
We provide the service with care but cannot accept liability beyond what the law requires; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced on this site. These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
Last updated: June 2026. Details in [square brackets] will be completed before public launch.
